The threat of germs to your health, to your livelihood and to the general public is real and growing. Between Avian Flu, SARS, antibiotic-resistant bacteria, environmental contaminants and the potential for biological terrorism, it has never been more important for us to understand the dangers that microscopic organisms pose and ensure that we are taking the proper precautions to protect ourselves, our families, our coworkers and the public at large.
Germ Awareness –
• As little as one virus or 100 bacteria can cause infection
• 1,000 bacteria can become 16,000 in an hour
• 7.2 billion germs are on the average sponge
• Proper hand hygiene has been clinically shown to reduce students' sick days up to 20%
• Contact with untreated restroom fixtures is a leading way illnesses are passed from person to person

• Each absence costs the typical business more than $400
